Nissan confirms 2022 Kicks pricing and fuel economy

The most affordable crossover offered by Nissan is a kick, and it moved to 2022 with the initial MSRP still under $ 20,000. Even though the price point is low, small crossover has an interesting appearance aimed directly on younger buyers. In fact, it is difficult to not think of Nissan Juke which is now stopped, although his shot is a larger vehicle packed with more technology and, what is important, increases fuel savings as well.

The entry-level 2022 Nissan Kicks S starts at $ 19,700, the car maker has confirmed. The Midrange version is a FWD SV kick, starting at $ 21,550. Finally, sitting at the top of the range is a SR kick starting at $ 22,240. None of the MSRPS included the cost of handling Nissan’s $ 1175 purpose, thoughts.

No matter which kick value selected for the 2022 model year, they all use the same power plant. The engine under the hood is a 1.6 liter DOHC 16-valve cylinder engine that utilizes the Nissan continuous variable valve system, and is assessed for 122 horsepower and 114 pound of torque. All kick versions use the same Xtronic CVT transmission, and everything is the front wheel drive. Apart from the aesthetic crossover, there are no drive options all wheels that can limit the appeal of 2022 kicks in countries that face a formidable winter.

As you would expect from a simple and small crossover, solid fuel economy. EPA estimates that fuel economy rankings for 2022 kicks are 31 mpg in the city, 36 mpg on the highway, and 33 mpg combined. It should be noted that the price of entry-level kick is almost identical to the price of the Ford Maverick entry-level pickup, which is rated for 42 mpg in the city with standard hybrid powertrain. Indeed, Hybrid Maverick is almost impossible to get until next year.

Nissan has stuffed impressive safety and infotainment technology into budget-friendly vehicles. All kick versions come standard with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, for example.

Nissan also equipped all kick versions with the convenience of Nissanconnect services and security features, which include Wi-Fi hotspots available, with the ability to control locking and unlock the door remotely. The Nissan Safety Shield 360 is also standard in all kick versions, including providing a rear automatic braking that Nissan said is an exclusive class.

Other safety features include standard automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, path departure warning, blind warning, rear traffic warnings, and rear sonar for parking. SR kicks also add additional features, including integrated dynamics control modules that provide active driving control, intelligent trace control, and intelligent engine braking.
