Valve once again provided some insight into the game that produced this year’s highest in steam. The sixth annual seller list divides the top 100 games into several categories, and titles in each ordered randomly. 12 matches in the platinum category swept the most money.
There are several free games above, because Steam has taken into account microcransactions and paid expansion. Platinum levels are dominated by old favorites, including Apex Legends, Pubg: Battle-Strike: Global Offensif, Dead by Daylight, Destiny 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Dota 2 and Grand Theft Auto V.
This is the sixth year in a row that Dota 2, CS: Go and Grand Theft Auto V have made it to the top level. Pubg: Battlegrounds and Rainbow Six Siege each make pieces for the fifth time too. Destiny 2, meanwhile, appeared at the platinum level every year since reaching steam in 2019.
Battle Royale Title Naraka: Bladepoint and Battlefield 2042 are among the four releases from this year which make it 12. Valhim, a gaming survival sandbox made by only five people, also among the new world, like the new world, like a new world, showed that after years of trying and failed, Amazon finally made a hit game.
The newcomers who landed in the second group of 12 matches, gold, were FIFA 22, returned 4 blood, Forza Horizon 5 and needed two, who won the game year awards at the game award. Older titles in that part are the last fantasies of xiv online (which while Enix has stopped to temporarily sell because the server is overloaded), red dead redemption 2, rust, sea of thieves, warframe, online scrolls, war thunder and Forza Horizon 4.
The silver part, meanwhile, includes 2021 releases such as Halo Infinite, Outriders, evil resident villages and edition of mass effects. Cyberpunk 2077, which was released in December last year, in that category, as well as Sims 4, Monster Hunter: World and the Bot-Wabed Team Fortress 2.
Some of the main takeaways included the fact that EA, which brought the game back to Steam in 2019, has four titles among the top 24 income, including three new releases: Apex Legends, Battlefield 2042, FIFA 22 and needed two. Microsoft also has several games at several top levels, even though they are all available on PC Game Pass. Forza Horizon 5, its predecessor and sea of thieves are all in the golden category. Hello infinite makes it silver even though multiplayer is free playing and a new paid campaign comes out for a week before steam stops tracking revenue to list.
Many of these games – including the new world, Battlefield 2042, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and Sea Thieves – have been discounted for winter steam sales. Cyberpunk 2077, Valheim and Back 4 blood are also included in the sale, which runs until January 5.
