A newcomer in the right wireless headphone room you say? Of course, which might be a fairly common incident today, but this one – Grell Audio – equipped with some strong legacy. The founder, Axel Grell, is known in the headphone industry for its extensive work in Sennheiser on some of the most prestigious products of the company. TWS / 1 is the first solo product under the Grell brand. Thus, we are interested in seeing what $ 200 wireless buds can do.

TWS / 1 has a modern look. Most coiling designs are only disturbed by small, airpod-like bulges on each shoot. Initially the plan was to have an outside casing that was completely metal but physics and radio waves meant that some concessions (plastic parts) were needed. Overall, they maintain premium nuances that stand above which are often found at this price point. They visually reminded me a little from Jabra Elite 75T, but a little lower profile.

In terms of fit, the slightly slimmer means the design you don’t feel like something balances in your ears that can sometimes happen with a fatter model. As usual they came up with the case of charging that the promises of four full accusations from TWS / 1. Tunas themselves offer around 6 hours per charge that apply in my experience with ANC enabled. Strangely, shoots are placed in the case correctly to the opposite left and. I’m not sure why this will be, but don’t take a few remember (you will be reminded as a shoot that doesn’t fit the opposite).

In the world join in the product, it is difficult to stand out. The easiest differentiator is the price, then sound quality and or additional features / premium. It seems that Grell Audio has tried to overcome this third, and with general success, I would say.

The price point puts TWS / 1 in an unusual category. Many premium brands that land at $ 250 zones + while more affordable choices, such as Google both pixel buds or these Jabra live in the $ 150 area. The choice of budget, south of $ 100, is also more common. This, then, tws / 1 pitches are overlapped between high-pod and low-premium. I will bet this is fully intentional as the feature set and the end of building higher quality leaning, but barebone packaging and prices are more accessible to show more important viewers.

As for sound quality, this is where things are a little clearer. In my test, I am generally happy with the default voice. It might be a little on the thin side for my personal preferences with a little weight at the bottom end for voice is usually commercial. But Grell has partnered with Soundid – third-party applications that song select headphone brands to your personal preferences / hearing.

We have seen things like this before, especially with Nura which brought this to a new level. SoundID is slightly more homely in his approach. Still use some form of test disorders, but rather than asking if you can hear certain tones, it only plays some music and asks “which one you like, a or b.” After I finished this short test, difference and night. With my own personal profile activated (it uploaded to headphones so that it applies no matter what you listen to), my ordinary mixture of mid ’10s indie and nonsense rave comes alive.

I have a little preference for a dynamic and low beefier range and mid-high frequency. At least, I guess I did because it was the biggest change in the sound after completing the test and I immediately found them much more fun. In the SoundID application, you can switch between default sounds and your own profile and it really makes a big difference. You don’t need an application to get a good sound, but I’ll guess that you will be happier with what gives you.
